2nd reservation: WE Vision Project Community Goals & Ice Cream Social

Primary tabs

Purpose of Meeting/Event

Since April the West End Vision Project [bit.ly/WE-Vision-Web] has been hosting meetings and small group conversations, collecting data, and incorporating the community’s feedback to create a set of Draft Goals for the future of our community! This July, we’re hitting the road across the West End with a series of community events, pop-ups, and open houses to review them. The project, which started with engagement around community values back in September, has engaged more than 650 people in the West End. These Draft Goals are the culmination of what we’ve heard so far, including input from 170 people about their vision for the future. Now, we’re checking back in: Do these goals feel right to you? What’s missing? And how do we turn them into action? We’ll also be digging into real, practical strategies, like how to support youth and seniors, restore vacant housing, and improve how communities and local governments work together. Help us build upon them and discuss: What are the most important things we should do as a community in order to achieve our goals? What strategies are missing? These conversations will shape decisions around housing, land use, local jobs and services, and more. Please join this community workshop on July 24 to share your input AND beat the heat by enjoying an ice cream sundae with your neighbors!
